Ha! There isn’t one. At least not here. I worked hard for my certification and you should too. I will, however, point you in the right direction.
First, take the Magento U On-Demand Fundamentals class Seriously. It’s free [Update: No longer free, but still very reasonably priced]. What possible excuse could you have for not taking it? Even if you think you know all the material (and even if you DO know all the material), take it. I know there are at least a couple of questions that I got right because I took the course. When you work on the code day-to-day, you forget about some of the little things going on. This class will remind you.
Second, read the study guide (PDF).
Third, ready the study guide (PDF). That’s not a typo. Magento went to the trouble of creating (and updating) a guide to everything that is on the test. The least you could do is read it twice (or at least once really thoroughly. But since most of us will skim it, read it twice). As you are reading it, go through the code. Explore the files it points you at. Dig deeper. Check the site for any updates to the document a few days before your scheduled test.
And finally, RELAX. The worst thing you can do is work yourself into a nervous wreck right before the test. If you’ve done all the above, then the last thing to do is relax, trust your instincts, and take the test.
Good luck. And when you do pass (I have faith in you), hit me up and I might just be able to hook you up with a job.
